During the course you will notice that we talk a lot about FODMAPS. These are small carbohydrates which are digested only by the healthy bacteria that live in our microbiome. Overall, FODMAPs are beneficial for your microbiome and are an important part of a healthy diet.
On a standard Western diet, you may not eat a lot of FODMAPs — making a sudden switch to a plant-based diet, which is naturally high in FODMAPs, can often lead to bloating and digestive issues, which can put people off making the change.
We have designed The Healthy Gut Course very carefully to solve this problem. While you will be eating a healthy, fibre-rich diet from day one, we will slowly introduce the different forms of FODMAPs in a controlled manner during the six-week course.
